Same-day asthma and COPD treatment in Denver: nebulizer breathing treatments, steroids, spirometry and chest X-ray. $350 at KaufCare with an ER physician.
KaufCare treats asthma flares and COPD exacerbations the same day at 2515 Eliot St in Denver — no referral needed. A board-certified emergency physician assesses oxygen saturation, lung sounds and peak flow, then treats with nebulized bronchodilators and corticosteroids, repeating treatments until air movement improves. Spirometry, chest X-ray, EKG and rapid viral tests are performed on site when the diagnosis calls for them, and prescriptions are sent to your pharmacy the same visit. Walk-ins are welcome Monday–Friday, 9am–9pm. Severe attacks — struggling to breathe at rest, speaking only a few words at a time, blue lips, drowsiness or confusion — are a 911 call, not an urgent care visit.
A chest X-ray (PA & lateral) is $225. A $120 visit fee applies; members pay a $50 visit fee and receive 15% off procedures.
Wheezing, chest tightness or a rescue inhaler that is suddenly needed every few hours — treated with nebulizers and steroids the same day.
Increased breathlessness, wheezing or mucus in known COPD or emphysema, with antibiotics when the picture calls for them.
Viral infections are the most common asthma trigger; rapid COVID/flu/RSV testing identifies the trigger during the visit.
Coughing or tightness during winter workouts, evaluated with spirometry and treated with a prescription plan.
Spirometry, chest X-ray and EKG on site separate new asthma from the conditions that imitate it.
Denver sits at 5,280 feet; flares aggravated by altitude are treated and high-altitude illness is evaluated when the story fits.
